With my Intel

actually revealed from the BIOS. It's the firmware which gets
updated these days, more often than the BIOS.

If I didn't
have a working Moto G4, this would be my choice for a smartphone.
Be aware there have been hardware issues with the Moto
smartphones. Mostly with the E series, but the G series has not
been immune. Power buttons have failed, and some phones
mysteriously stopped making calls. But on the plus side, these
phones use stock Android firmware, so can be upgraded almost
without limits. Mine's on Android N and it probably can take on
Android O when Motorola offers it.
Android Phones Get Regular Security Updates
This list is
incomplete. Moto G and recent E series phones also get regular
security updates. Other manufacturers are also under-represented
in this list.

THIS WEEK: MICROSOFT’S PATCHING OLD VERSIONS OF WINDOWS BECAUSE
THINGS ARE THAT BAD
What's this bad
is that folks are not upgrading to Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 and
10s. If Microsoft could see the error of their ways and produce
new versions which people actually *want* these issues with older
versions would largely go away. Third party business apps would be
upgraded if folks were demanding compatibility with newer Windows
