Version 3 yet being available as a free version. Anti-Exploit is
available free as a stand alone.

Lots on software and OS updates!
CCleaner 5.25 Now Available for
CCleaner has a new version about every
week or so, so the version number is already obsolete by the time
we read this.
Opera 42 Now Available for Download
Again, there are frequent updates, and
even more frequent updates to components like Flash plugins. Best
policy -- update security daily, update browsers and components
weekly, and update other critical software once or twice monthly.
And update Windows monthly, but not on Patch Tuesday if you know
how to avoid this. Wait a week or two on anything not
super-critical (in other words, on everything). I use an updates
checker (not a security updates checker) to keep posted on what's
available at any given time.

How to Check Your Comcast Data Usage to
Avoid Going Over the 1TB Cap
What is anyone doing which routinely goes
over a 1 TB per month data usage cap?
A New Choice for Cord Cutters: DirecTV
Not much of a choice. Counts against data
caps on land lines, requires installation of a satellite dish, and
only has 100 channels, none of which stream reliably. No local
channels either. By missing their deadlines repeatedly on Gigabit
Internet over Power Lines, AT&T has effectively removed themselves
from the Pay TV and consumer Internet arena in the Chicago area. I
will be switching to Comcast at the earliest possible time.

This is indeed a radical approach, and not
one I would recommend. Although I am no fan of the current state
of Yahoo services, I would not close my longest-standing email
account just because Yahoo was very delinquent about security
three years ago when Marissa Mayer ran the place. Maybe Verizon
will do a better job -- or sell the operations to someone who will
take security seriously.
